Dominance with a Capital “D”

Congratulations to the Track Houston Youth Girls division for qualifying 5 athletes out of the top 6 positions in the 100 and 200 meter dash at the USATF Gulf Association Championships. Their dominance didn’t stop there. These girls won every running event in their division including additional places from 2nd to 6th. The top 6 places in each event from this meet will advance to the USATF Region 12 meet (Texas state meet) in Arlington, Texas on July 6-9.

The Youth Girls also set a new USATF Gulf Association record in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 47.82 and another one was set by Sydney Gandy in the 1500 meter run with a strong finish in 5:06.01.

The Youth Girls coaches Veronica Daniels and Marcus Davis are very proud of the accomplishments of their girls as well as the Track Houston family and look forward to similar accomplishments at the national level later in July.
